Join us for our general meeting where we welcome Kim Ogg, attorney and former District Attorney of Harris County, Texas, as our guest speaker. Elected in 2016, Kim made history as the first Democrat to lead the nation’s third-largest DA’s office in nearly 40 years, serving two terms with distinction.
With a background in prosecuting gang-related crimes and a strong focus on public safety, Kim brought a tough yet reform-minded approach to law enforcement. During her tenure, she championed initiatives in transparency, diversion programs, and victim services, balancing accountability with innovation.
In a notable political turn, despite her Democratic affiliation, Kim endorsed Senator Ted Cruz in the 2024 election — a reflection of her independent and pragmatic stance on justice and public service.
